Terms and refunds
The short version: pay once, it's yours, and if it's not for you, email us within 14 days. The rest is below in plain English.
Who we are
This store is run by Chris and Sara through our company, DROPPIN, LLC, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. When these terms say “we” or “us,” that's who we mean. You can reach us any time at hello@chrisandsara.com.
What you're buying
Our maps, kits and guides are digital. When you pay, you get access to them on this site, signed in with your email. Maps open in Google Maps through a private link. Presets, film looks and planners come as downloads.
There's nothing shipped and no subscription. You pay once and keep access for as long as this store is running.
Using what you buy
- It's for you and the people traveling with you.
- Please don't post the map links publicly, resell them, or copy our maps and writing into something you sell or publish.
- If a link gets shared around, we may change it. You'll always find the current one inside your account.
Refunds
If something you bought isn't for you, email us within 14 days of buying it and we'll refund it. You don't have to explain. Once it's refunded, it leaves your account.
The All Access Pass is final sale. It opens every map and guide the moment you pay, so at checkout you agree to it starting right away, and that means it can't be refunded. If you live in the UK or EU, that agreement is what waives your usual 14 day cancellation window for digital content.
If you buy the pass after buying single kits, what you already paid comes off the pass price automatically.
Gifts
A gift is paid for by the giver and sent to the person they name, on the day they pick, with a one-time code for that one product. The code works once. If a gift goes to the wrong email, tell us and we'll sort it out. Refunds on gifts go back to the giver, within 14 days of the purchase.
Places change
We built these maps from places we've actually been, and we keep them current. When a place closes and we find out, we fix it once and you see the fix. But cafes close, roads wash out, hours change and campsites fill up, sometimes before we hear about it.
So please check opening times, road conditions, local rules and bookings before you go, and use your own judgment out there. Our maps are a starting point from people who've been there, not a guarantee. If you find something that's changed, tell us and we'll update it for everyone.
Payments and prices
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may add a fee if you pay in another currency, and any tax due is shown at checkout.
Your email
We use your email to sign you in, send your receipt, and let you know about the things you bought. We may also send you our Field Notes newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects what you own. We don't sell your email to anyone.
Links to other businesses
Some pages link to places to stay, gear and services. Some of those are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you book or buy, at no extra cost to you. We only link to things we'd use ourselves.
We're an independent travel brand. Our maps and guides aren't affiliated with or endorsed by any tourist board, route or company named in them, including North Coast 500 Ltd.
The legal bits
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for anything you buy here is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live. These terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee. If we change them, we'll update this page, and the version in place when you bought is the one that applies to that purchase.
